Wealth Advisor

Hartford, CT | Onsite/Hybrid

Meta Goals of this Role

Major Areas of Work to be Done

Progress leads & close new clients.

  • Hit annual new client growth goals.
  • Lead the full front-end sales cycle—discovery, proposal, and close.
  • Maintain disciplined progression of opportunities through next-step setting and proactive follow-up
  • Handle objections effectively and differentiate the firm’s value proposition to prospects.
  • Take accountability for outcomes from first meeting through long-term client retention.

Create financial plans for clients with complex situations and ensure seamless onboarding.

  • Deeply understand the financial planning process and relevant tools (e.g., RightCapital, eMoney, MoneyGuidePro)
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the team to develop and deliver financial plans for new prospects and existing clients.
  • Personally shepherd the relationship through onboarding and account transfer until assets arrive.

Provide ongoing advice and relationship management for assigned advisor relationships.

  • Deliver comprehensive financial planning, ongoing portfolio advice, and proactive client communication.
  • Conduct regular client reviews and update plans as circumstances change.
  • Identify and act on opportunities for deeper engagement (planning, tax, estate, held-away assets).

Experience & Technical Skills Needed

  • 5+ years as a successful financial advisor or practice leader
  • Expertise in holistic financial planning, investment strategy, and long-term client relationships.
  • CFP credentials.

  • Aptitude for selling: The inherent ability to understand client financial priorities, frame advice and solutions in terms that resonate, and comfortably guide clients toward a decision.

Administrator

Hartford, CT | Onsite/Hybrid

At SKY Investment Group, we provide a high-touch, client-first experience for families, business owners, and institutions. As an Account Administrator, you will play a central role in delivering that experience, serving as a trusted operational partner to both our clients and wealth advisors.
 

This position sits at the intersection of client service and portfolio operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that every client interaction and account process is handled with precision, discretion, and a commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and takes pride in delivering a seamless, thoughtful experience at every stage of the client relationship. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Deliver a high-touch client experience by addressing client needs with care and urgency, supporting clients throughout their financial journey, and reinforcing a standard of exceptional service  
  • Prepare and process all custodian paperwork for new client onboarding, ensuring accurate account setup and a smooth transfer of assets  
  • Oversee ongoing account maintenance, including updates to account registrations, trustee changes, beneficiary designations, and other administrative requests  
  • Respond to client correspondence and inquiries in a timely, professional, and thoughtful manner, ensuring clear and effective communication  
  • Partner closely with custodian operations teams to execute account administration and transaction processing with accuracy, resolving any issues efficiently  
  • Maintain and update client records within CRM and document management systems, ensuring a high standard of accuracy, organization, and confidentiality  
  • Uphold all regulatory and compliance standards by remaining current on industry requirements and ensuring all client activities align with firm policies  

Qualifications 

  • 2+ years of experience in wealth management, financial services, or a related field preferred  
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy  
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a polished and professional presence  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems and custodial platforms is preferred  
  • A team-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
